So Today Wasn’t a Bad Day…
24
February
1. I had the new Banana Nut Cheerios for breakfast (which, by the by, are pretty fantastic). Then, Rick brought doughnuts, which happens when we do good things at work. They are like gold stars for performance-driven adults. THEN, Jenny brought King Cake. So…that wasn’t so bad. I consider any day that includes a doughnut to be good.
2. Actually got stuff done at work today. If you work where I work, you know that this is a rare miracle. I didn’t get it ALL done and I’m still behind, but there is carpet where there was once just a lot of stuff on the floor.
3. I think…not sure…but I think we bought a house today. Someone was really desperate to get rid of a house and we just got lucky that we picked them. I don’t know about the buying a house process very much, but the word is that we sort of got one. Pictures coming soon.
4. Donald Miller totally replied to my tweet today. And my lack of twitter knowledge enabled my famous uncle to call some of his fans “nutzoids” on his twitter. Unfortunate, but entertaining.
5. Please go here and delight in the letter that Ruth received.
6. I have the day off on Thursday. I will be working, but not at the office, which is such a wondrous treat. I’m going to spend the day on my in-laws screen porch, writing until my hands fall off and eating frozen grapes. This is my dream.
So you may have bought a house? How exciting! Congratulations!?!
Can’t wait for more details!
I’m all a-twitter to see your new house!!!! I will make some congratulatory French toast for you (even though Ben’s is better).
Congrats on the house! Ariel and I are moving into the one we bought this week.
Congrats as well on the Don Miller reply. He answered a question I sent in to his fansite a few years ago.
hey there-
i’m laughing about the white baby thing….a few people have e-mailed me even asking why I specified the color of the baby!
go and check out my latest post.
how are you feeling by the way – and i guess you are a homeowner??!!! congrats!
yes, please do post before & after photos!
cason and i aren't good at a lot of things, but one thing we love is coming up with ideas for homes! someday we want to buy a really old home, with original hardwood floors and just go to town with renovating it. someday!
So I have a new blog which I will start writing in if you are interesting. Props for the house and Donald Miller and other big news I hear…
